Tigers are one of the best known and iconic animals in the world. However their population in the wild has dropped 95% since the beginning of the 20th century. Illegal wildlife trade , Human wildlife conflict , Habitat loss and fragmentation are all contributing factors. There had be a constant reduction in the number of tigers, for over a century… however due to conservation efforts in recent years, there has been a slight increase for the first time.
